Hard Free caps vs paid soft fair-use
Free stops accepting more ingest when you hit the monthly hard caps. That’s intentional — the plan stays sustainable and the limits are clear up front.
Starter (US$9) and Pro (US$29) use soft fair-use: email alerts near your allowance, no dashboard lockout, and no automatic metered overage charges. Unlimited sites, full dashboard surfaces, API/MCP (Starter read/setup; Pro full), CSV, weekly email, and longer retention.
Never confuse the two: “no lockouts” applies to paid fair-use, not Free.
When to upgrade
Stay on Free while one site and core traffic views are enough.
Upgrade (or start a 14-day paid trial from Settings → Billing) when you need:
- More than one site
- Realtime, campaigns/UTMs, goals, funnels, Events, or Report mode
- REST API, webhooks, or MCP in Cursor / Claude
- CSV export or weekly email summary
- Soft fair-use headroom instead of a hard 25k stop
